Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box. It increases your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you. Gift Aid allows charities to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your donation from HMRC.
So, if you donate £100, AFJOG UK can claim £25 from HMRC, meaning your donation becomes £125 to support our work.
How it Works
| Your donation | Gift Aid from HMRC | Gift Aid from HMRC |
| £10 | £2.50 | £12.50 |
| £50 | £12.50 | £62.50 |
| £100 | £25 | £125 |
Gift Aid is collected during the donation process via Zeffy. If you are eligible and choose to add Gift Aid, AFJOG UK will reclaim the tax from HM Revenue and Customs.
You can withdraw your Gift Aid declaration at any time by contacting us.
Higher-rate taxpayers
If you pay 40% or 45% income tax, you may be able to claim additional tax relief through your Self Assessment tax return.
Example:
- You donate: £100
- AFJOG UK receives: £125 (including Gift Aid)
- You can claim back: £25 from HMRC
- Your net cost becomes £75
👉 In other words, £75 from you can become £125 for AFJOG UK.
